I want to read books that will be great, ha ha. True though. I am always working on giving away books. When I buy one I aim to give two away.Terra https://www.blogger.com/profile/04396481049075747940noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7892722103504759154.post-82874792892142538062017-04-11T17:45:47.737-04:002017-04-11T17:45:47.737-04:00Ti, one shelf of books - wow! I can't read something unless I'm in the right frame of mind for it or I make it an automatic DNF.

Lark, you are so right - books that bring a spark of joy are the ones to keep. And I hadn't really thought about it until you mentioned it, buts you are so right - the older we get, sometimes the books we loved when we were younger are not the ones we love now. So true!

M, the Magicians books are okay, but not exactly what I was hoping for. Definitely fun and interesting reads, but nothing I would deem must-read material. And if only those stacks of papers and books could resolve themselves :)

Athira, those books were fun, but nothing to get caught up in. I felt like I read them just to finish the trilogy, but not for enjoyment. Definitely disappointing. So, I can understand you no liking the first one. The show is fun, but different from the books - maybe that's why I like it :) OMG! Yes! That is me, too. I buy books, but never seem to pick them up. It is such a bad habit. I really need to read my own books. That's why I want to cull them and then start focusing on the books I have left on my shelves. Fingers crossed that plan works :)Nadiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14315207186180201488noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7892722103504759154.post-78849942344039411512017-04-11T12:48:02.187-04:002017-04-11T12:48:02.187-04:00I did read the first book of the Magicians trilogy...I did read the first book of the Magicians trilogy and didn't like it at all. So I won't be reading the rest of the books either. Good to hear that you enjoy the TV show - maybe someday I will watch it but I'll remind myself that the books are probably still not great. :-)

Oh, don't get me started on the number of books I own. I love to buy books but I rarely read what I own. I need to get into the habit of reading more of my books.Athirahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03366654538383603004noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7892722103504759154.post-61037661030107309912017-04-09T20:58:28.811-04:002017-04-09T20:58:28.811-04:00To save on space, I've had to get rid of books...To save on space, I've had to get rid of books I'm either never going to read/have lost interest in and books I've read and definitely won't re-read ever again. I usually only keep books by my favorite authors or books that made a huge impression on me. I give away any others I read.

I've had friends who donate their books to the library - if that would make you feel better about it. :) I know it's not easy to let go of books!!Brandiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14650612252443297585noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7892722103504759154.post-10425681081575027002017-04-09T18:04:19.047-04:002017-04-09T18:04:19.047-04:00I've downloaded two of the Magician books, but...I've downloaded two of the Magician books, but read neither. I so sympathize with the "where to put books" question! I seem to always have a stack of papers and books on my kitchen counter's corner. It annoys me, but refuses to resolve itself. ;)Bellezza https://www.blogger.com/profile/18073864187188953633noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7892722103504759154.post-33467454195398939592017-04-07T17:54:18.941-04:002017-04-07T17:54:18.941-04:00Getting rid of books is hard! But never the ones I LOVE or that make me smile and give me that "spark of joy" when I pick them up. But the ones I've read and don't think I'll ever reread again, or ones that were just okay, I try to let go of those. Because some books were what I needed in my twenties, but I'm no longer that girl, and I don't need them in the same way any more. But it's always hard. Good luck!Lark https://www.blogger.com/profile/13777891312147377769noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7892722103504759154.post-36715895217352339142017-04-07T12:11:54.247-04:002017-04-07T12:11:54.247-04:00I don't own that many books. These days I choose books based on how I am feeling so those books can probably go!Tihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00926060806244061354noreply@blogger.com
