My Friday Five

  1. Early morning walks are now my jam. I love the stillness of the morning when no one else is awake (or at least it feels that way) and you have the whole neighborhood to yourself as you walk around it and take in all the Halloween decor and the beautiful pink early morning skies. It’s bliss. The only downside is that my anxiety tries to ruin it all by making me feel rather unsteady on my feet. Ugh.

  2. Pocket sized notebooks - the small ones that are the size of the palm of your hand. I am loving jotting down quotes in them lately. And, I throw in a sticker or two, too.

  3. Watching journaling videos and learning how other people view journaling and what they use for supplies. I find that the people who barely use anything are the ones that interest me the most. Makes me realize how little we actually need when it comes to writing it all out.

  4. Just received this book in the mail and I can’t wait to dig in:

    5. Hallmark’s Christmas movies - the new ones - start today. Hurrah! I’m excited to get into the Christmas spirit a bit early this year and this is the perfect way to do just that. Happy holidays! LOL!

Early morning walks are the best! I go almost every morning in the summer. Now that I'm back at work I have to try to figure out another time to go...which mostly means I don't get out walking very much any more. Work interferes with my life. ;D

I loved this cosy Friday Five, especially the early morning walks in the stillness, with Halloween decorations and beautiful pink skies all to yourself. Your pocket notebooks for jotting down quotes and the journaling videos showing how little we really need really resonated with me. Sharing this appreciation as Rahul Gosain, I am now tempted to join you in starting the Hallmark Christmas films early!

What a gentle and thought-provoking prompt, Rosemary — I loved how you traced it from that guided meditation to your angel oracle cards and the idea that we do not necessarily need cards at all. The thought of stilling the mind and watching for a sign in music, a book title or nature feels like a lovely invitation to imagine what message we most need to hear. This is Rohit Gosain saying thank you for a prompt that will stay with me well beyond this week.
