A Novel Bookstore looks wonderful, as does Julia's book. I rather enjoyed the movie with her, although ironic as it sounds, I could have done with a little more of Julia's life and a little less of blogger woman. Anyway, isn't this a fun challenge? Looking forward to participating in it with you.

I agree with Bellezza, I much preferred the Julia parts of the movie. The Julie character seemed so whiny and what is not to love about Meryl Streep? She was just great.
I just finished Tapestry of Love and am feeling mixed about it. I'm still on vacation but it'll be my first post when I get home, probably up tomorrow.
And I want some Putomoya cds too! Great idea!
oh I really want to read Lunch in Paris& My life in Paris. I think they're for next year's Paris in July. Looking forward to reading your reviews.
Bellezza, both books seem like they will be such fun reads. I enjoyed that movie, too! And I know what you mean, I would have rather had more Julie than Julie - she seemed like a brat. This is definitely a fun challenge - can't wait to read your posts ;)

Joan, I know what you mean! There are so many great books out there for this challenge that its hard to only pick a few.
My Life in Paris has been on top of my list for a long time. A Novel Bookstore is a flawed but really entertaining book that will have you making long lists of other books you want to read. Lots of tempting stuff here!
Having just returned from Paris, I recommend Time Was Soft There: A Paris Sojourn to the Shakespeare & Co. by Jeremy Mercer. It's a memoir of the time when he wandered to Paris and got a job at the renowned bookstore. :)
This looks like a wonderful selection of books. I haven't read most of them but I read and reviewed The Tapestry of Love. I thought it was a beautifully written, soothing book that's worth taking your time to read and savor as you do.
I am anxious to read A Novel Bookshop and hope you enjoy it!

I loved "The Paris Wife" by Paula McLain. Not solely set in Paris- but a wonderful description of Paris in the 20's.
NOVEL BOOKSTORE, please? I love the Parisian pants off that book.
