HERE COMES THE POOCH!
There's a new breed of ring bearers trotting down the aisle. In this glorious celebration of wedding dogs, we meet dozens of canine companions sharing in the fun on the big day. Dressed to impress in miniature tuxedos or bridal veils, these dogs cheerfully serve as groomsmen, bridesmaids, ring bearers, flower girls, and more. Katie Preston Toepfer and Sam Stall have interviewed brides and grooms from around the world to assemble this hilarious and heartwarming collection of stories and photographs. Wedding Dogs is a joyful tribute to love, marriage, and animal friendship.
my thoughts:
Wedding Dogs was quite a treat to read. Filled with fabulous photographs of pet pooches dressed to the nines - this book made me smile and laugh. I just loved flipping through the pages of this book and looking at all the photos of brides and grooms happily sharing their "Big Day" with their canine best friends. Plus, the short stories attached to the photos added a sweet touch to the whole book.
Never more has the concept of "man's best friend" been more clear than with this book, which is a true testament to the bonds of friendship - human and canine.
I would most definitely recommend Wedding Dogs to dog lovers and fans of photo books - not only will you love all the fantastic photographs within this book, but you will probably get some good ideas for when you start planning your own wedding (tutus and pearls for your pet pooch?).
Thanks so much to Quirk Books for providing me with a copy of this book!

I loved looking at all the photos and reading about how much those dogs mean to their owners.
That cover is beautiful! I used to think dogs in weddings was silly, but after 7 and a half years of living with my Maddie - and being single - I can imagine wanting her there if I ever do walk down the aisle. No fancy wear, but she might have to have an adorable little bow. :)
bermudaonion, me too! It was such a fun book to look through ;)
picky, it is, isn't? I thought it was silly, too - but after reading this book, I can definitely understand the need to have all of your family members take part in your Big Day :) I think a little bow would be adorable and perfect for Maddie.
Gorgeous dogs!
Looks great - being more of a cat person than a dog person though I hope there will be a Wedding Cats sequel though!
Mary Jo Burke, they are!
