100 Ghosts: A Gallery of Harmless Haunts by Doogie Horner

(Thank you to Quirk Books for providing me with a copy of this book!)
about book (from Quirk Books):

Cut two eyeholes into a bedsheet and BOO! You’ve got yourself a classic Halloween icon. But what happens if you tie the bedsheet in knots? What happens when you set it on fire, hang it from a clothesline, or put a llama underneath it? 100 Ghosts is a brilliantly simple artistic exploration of an icon as familiar as a grinning jack-o-lantern or an arched black cat. It’s a delightful gift for adults, kids, and anyone who enjoys spooky design.

my thoughts:

Fun, quirky, and utterly delightful is how I would describe Doogie Horner's book,  100 Ghosts: A Gallery of Harmless Haunts.  Sounds awesome, right?  Well, it is!  This little blue book is filled with hilarious images of ghosts that will have you cracking up.  Believe me, they are harmless and will not leave a haunting impression at all.  These drawings will have you smiling and laughing at the sheer number of ghosts that Horner came up with.  There is the 'athletic' ghost, which is a ghost that floats higher than the rest.  There's the image of a ghost after he's taken bath - which is a picture of a sheet hanging on a clothesline.  Oh, and there is a Muppet ghost and an "Undercover Cop" ghost - talk about LOL! There are so many fun images to look at that you will have a ball flipping though the pages.  This is the perfect quick read to share with your friends, children, and anyone else you know who enjoys a good laugh.  I know that I can't wait to share it with  my little cousins - they are going to love it! Plus, it will make the perfect book to flip through after I finish a frightful read or creepy movie for R.I.P. VIII.

Head on over to Quirk Books to check out some images from the book and learn more about the author.  Here's the link: 100 Ghosts

And now I'm off to finish reading Diane Setterfield's Bellman and Black.  Happy Reading!!
