Mrs. Queen Takes the Train is about The Queen and the adventure she takes, when she decides to re-visit the Britannia. Why is it an adventure? Well, because she goes it alone. Yep, The Queen is out and about without any security or staff. She is on her own and able to see her people and her country up close and personal. How does she manage that? With her trusty disguise - a hoodie with a skull. Its pretty crazy to imagine The Queen outsmarting her security detail by just donning a hoodie - seriously? Then again, I loved picturing Her Royal Highness practicing yoga, so I definitely enjoyed envisioning her wandering about the High Street. Of course, once her staff discovers The Queen missing, things get a bit out of hand. Uneasy alliances are made in a bid to band together and help figure out what has happened to The Queen. The heat is on, so to speak, because no one can find out that The Queen is MIA or all hell will break loose. Talk about dramatic, eh? Then again, a missing Queen would mean a national crisis.
William Kuhn has written a fun and charming book that is easy to get lost in. The characters are engaging and relatable. The setting is familiar and new. And, the story itself is a bit of a farce filled with hilarity and sweetness. The Queen's staff is so loyal, that you can't help but feel the warmth, love, and respect that they have for their monarch. I absolutely loved reading this book!
I would definitely recommend Mrs. Queen Takes the Train to anyone and everyone who is a fan of the British Royals, fiction, and anything about Britain. You will love this book!

Nadia: Mrs Queen and I loved your review. Many thanks.
ps Is that a Mary Cassatt reader at the top of your page? We love her too.

This sounds like a lot of fun. I also want to read The Uncommon Reader, which is also about the queen. We seem to be fascinated by her, aren't we??
Bill, thanks so much for stopping by and reading my review of your delightful novel.
Lindsey, it was a fun book and The Uncommon Reader is a good one as well. Definitely read both! And, yes, we do seem to be fascinated by HRH :)
Ooh this DOES sound completely delightful! I wish I had it in my hands this past week - the rainy, dreary weather here in Maryland would have been the perfect setting to read this by.
Thanks for being on the tour. I'm featuring your review on TLC's Facebook page today.
This reminds me of The Uncommon Reader. It sounds wonderful!!
I love the sound of this book!
Heather, it is!! Definitely read it when you get the chance :)
