My Birthday Wish List...

is all about books.  Here are the ones that I really, really want:

Not a bad bunch, eh? I've read some Bradbury and loved his humor, so I think these two will be fun reads. Swift's writing is terrific and I've heard so many great things about his latest - how could I not want to read it? I like that the Didion book is a collection of some of her books - I think it'll be the perfect way to finally start reading her work.  I want to read more Japanese authors and The Guest Cat is one way to start branching out.  Everybody Behaves Badly is about Hemingway - need I say more?  And Maus and Persepolis have been on my radar forever and its about time I finally read them both. What do you think? Have you read any of these? Which do you recommend?

My fingers are crossed that I get some of these books, along with a new leather Longchamp handbag in red to carry them all in.  How amazing would that be?

And now, I'm off to continue reading Harry Potter and the Cursed Child (Parts One and Two).

Malcolm Bradbury is a new author for me to explore. I like the word "comedy" on one of the covers. I love comedy and am reading P.G. Wodehouse again. Happy birthday friend.

Terra, definitely check out his work. My favorite is Eating People Is Wrong - it is hilarious and such a wonderful example of satire. Wodehouse is one of my favorites :) Thanks so much!!

I can definitely recommend Mothering Sunday and Persepolis. I'm not familiar with Bradbury - off to check him out. Hope you got some of these!
