Such A Good Wife: A Novel by Seraphina Nova Glass

(Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for providing me with a copy of this book!)

about book:

From the author of Someone's Listening comes another thriller that will leave you breathless, about a housewife implicated in a murder investigation, perfect for fans of The Last House Guest and Someone We Know.

Melanie Hale has the perfect life. Her husband, Collin, is a loving and supportive partner and she loves their small-town home just outside of New Orleans. She doesn't mind (too much) that she's given up her career dreams to care for her two beautiful children. It's all worth it.

So why, when she joins a writers' group for fledgling novelists, does she embark on a steamy affair with Luke, a local bestselling author who gives a talk during the group? Why does she go back to Luke again and again, when she knows it's wrong?

And then Luke is found dead, and Mel knows she was the last person to see him alive. Now, she not only has to keep the affair a secret, but somehow avoid being implicated in Luke's death. But who would want to kill him? And if Mel finds the truth, will she be next? What follows is a sinister cat-and-mouse game that will leave readers guessing until the very last page.

my thoughts:

What fun and thrilling read! I just loved Such A Good Wife by Seraphina Nova Glass. It was such a delicious story! Mystery, suspense, murder, thrills, and so much more! This book had me hooked from page one and I stayed up late into the night reading it all. I just had to find out what would happen to Melanie. OMG!

Melanie is living the idea of the perfect life - husband, kids, home, small-town life.  Except, she's not happy and her life is far from perfect. So, she decides to join a writer's group. In this group she finds herself flirting with Luke, a local author. Soon, their flirtations turn into all out affair. Yep, Melanie is marring her "perfect life" with a the stereotypical cliche: an affair. The only thing, Luke winds up dead and Melanie was the last person to see him alive. Say what? Yep, her sexy affair has now turned into her worst nightmare. Keen to keep her relationship to Luke secret, Melanie decides she must do whatever it takes to figure out whodunit. Yikes!

Such A Good Wife is a terrific story that will definitely keep you on your toes, trying to guess who's behind Luke's death. The writing is great, the storytelling is addictive, and the charters are so flawed and unreliable the that you can't help but get ensured in their drama. I loved it!

I would happily recommend Such A Good Wife by Seraphina Nova Glass to her fans and to anyone looking for their next great read - you will LOVE this book!
