Three Things...

1. Decluttering books. Why is it so hard to declutter some, but not others? There are two bags sitting by the front door right now chock full of books. These are books that I enjoyed once upon a time, but would not read again, or even read now. So, they were easy to cull from my book collection. And yet, there are piles of books in my office that are harder to go through. It's like, I know I won't ever read it again, but I don't want to get rid of the book. And, I don't even love the book, so I'm not sure why I just can't let go of it. Ugh. It's frustrating and annoying. I know that I don't have to get rid of my books, but I also know that I should, because space is limited and having all of these books means that I have no room for new books. Crikey!

2. Journals. I had packed away my old journals in several storage containers and stuffed them in the back of a closet or three. However, I'm all about freeing up space, so I've taken them out and placed them on a bookshelf. Why have them if I'm just going to hide them away? Plus, I've been filling up old journals the I never completely filled up. And, it's fun to rifle through old art journals, too.

3. Chili dogs. I've been craving them ever since I saw a photo of one at the local DQ. I went to get an ice cream cone - delicious! - and have been thinking about a chili dog ever since. So, I am making chili dogs for lunch and I am so happy about it. LOL!

Wishing you all a great Thursday. Happy reading!

A really good chili dog hits the spot.

Books. I only keep the ones that mean something to me. All the others I find homes for. Sometimes a friend, sometimes the tiny library in my neighborhood. I really could use my own tiny library. I am on a main walking trail. Would get good use.

Yes, it really does :) Yum!

Ti, I love that. Keeping the ones that mean something to you. That is what makes them special. I'm borrowing that idea of yours - thank you!!

Sometimes when I'm finding it hard to let go of something...like books or clothes...I put them in a bag and tuck them away in a closet or under my bed, then in six months, or a year, when I haven't needed or looked for any of those items, I find them easier to give away. It's a way of tricking my brain. ;D
