Five Things Friday...

1.  The Gym.  Yes! Week two and I have gone every day so far.  I'm still hating waking up before        5am, but I'm starting to get used to it.

2.  Weight Watchers and Oprah.

Yep, I'm an Oprah fan. I loved her show.  I love her channel. And I love this cookbook. I read it the other night and have already bookmarked so many recipes that I will be making in the foreseeable future.  So many yummy soup and salad recipes - woo hoo! Plus, she includes how many points each serving would be, which I loved.  Yep, I decided to join WW.  I intend to get healthy in 2017 and exercise alone is not going to get me there.  So, WW here I come.

3.  Travis.  I've been listening to their music this week. Ever since I went through all of my old CDs, I've been revisiting old favorite bands.  I remember loving this song:

4.   Grimm.  The season premiere for the final season was on last Friday.  There are only 12 more episodes left until its over - the horror, the horror!  I hate that they made this last season only 13 episodes long - its not fair.  I want more Monroe, Rosalee and Wu.

5.   Book Depository.  Ugh! I'm so disappointed with them. I ordered several books and have been patiently awaiting their arrival.  So far, I've received three of the books.  I'm still waiting for the others and it seems like its taking far too long.  Oh, and today I received a package filled with three copies of a book that I did not order from them - ack!   Plus, I just opened another delivery and the spine on the book is torn off - say what!? Ugh!!  Talk about annoying.  I'm beginning to think that I should have ordered everything from Amazon.

And now I'm off to continue reading about Maisie Dobbs.  Hope you all have a great weekend!  Happy reading!!

What is going on with the Book Depository?? That sounds crazy.

Oprah. I was a fan but I did lose a little respect for her when she had that tirade about the Ritz not allowing her to keep her dogs with her. Do you remember that? She took a good 20 min of her show that the time, the remind them who she was. I felt like she was using her status to bend the rules. It made me lose respect for her. However, whatever you put her name on seems to do well. WW is a tried and true program. I've hit lifetime twice with that program. Oprah always looses whether it's Jenny Craig, Nutrisystem or WW but I wish she'd find peace with food. That is what I am trying to do now. I am looking at it from a different angle and hoping it sticks. Yay for you going to the gym though!

Sorry about the mixed-up and missing book shipments. That sucks! But congrats on making it to the gym two weeks in a row. That's awesome! Keep it up. :)

That's so disappointing about the Book Depository! I never buy anything from them, and now I will definitely just stick with Amazon. I hope you get the rest of your books soon.

Yay for going to the gym every day! I know it's hard to get into the early morning routine, but it gets easier. And that's awesome you joined WW. Good luck!!

Have a great week, Nadia!

Ti, I know. And I'm still emailing them - ugh! I will not be ordering from them again. As for Oprah, I didn't know that. Wow! If I saw that show I would definitely have lost respect for her - that is crazy! She claims she's made peace with food = finally. Thanks :)

Lark, I know! It totally sucks! Thanks :)

Brandie, it really is. I'm with you - sticking with Amazon from now on :) Thank you! I know you know how hard it is to start something and stick with it. You have totally inspired me so much and I'm so glad you shared about it all on your blog. So, thank you!

Hope you have a great week!!

Weight Watchers is really the best weight loss plan I've ever tried; not sure now why I stopped. I actually didn't join WW but had the books from my MIL. It really pushes a change of eating habits, not dieting, per se, and they don't tell you that you can't eat the things you like. It's all about making choices. Good luck with it and kudos to you for doing so well on getting to the gym. It's so hard to make the time, especially when it means getting up early!

Lisa, thanks :) That's what I'm enjoying about it is that its helping me to change the way I eat. And I love that I can eat what I want, but within reason. You can have everything, but not at the same time. And yes, its hard waking up so early, but once I'm at the gym I enjoy it.

First, Nadia, thanks for coming over to Marmelade Gypsy! Nice to see you!

And thanks, too, for the recommendation on the WW cook book. Like I need another cookbook like a hole in the head but it looks like a good one.

And Maisie! I love Maisie Dobbs books -- have you read them all? I've become so fond of the characters -- I just wish they came out faster!
