Three Things...

1.  Books. I am needing positivity lately, so I'm currently reading Joel Osteen's, Next Level Thinking. I just finished Tyler Perry's, Higher is Waiting. And let me just say - OMG! These books are making me cry and I love loving it. I just find myself connecting with the stories and it is giving me all the feels. I am loving the faith and the hopefulness in both. I really need it right now, so they are making my heart soar.  Of course, I'm also dipping into some of my easy reads - suspense/thrillers. I finished No Exit by Taylor Adams - at a rest stop, a young woman sees a little girl locked in van and has to figure out how to save her.  Oh, and did I mention that she can't trust anyone at the rest stop and that they are all snowed in for the night. Yikes! I also just finished reading The Secretary by Renee Knight. OMG! What a story! It pulls you in deeper and deeper until you just can't wait to find out what is going to happen. That ending - whoa! And, I read The Girl Across the Street by Vikki Patis - two women meet over a man hit by a car and wind up bonding.  The only problem is both are harboring secrets that might just tear them apart.  So, yes to the positive reads and to the suspense-thrillers - they are seriously making reading a lot of fun lately.

2. TV shows.  Housewives FTW!  I'm serious. I watched the first episode in the Beverly Hills series and OMG! Talk about inane drama that you can't help but get caught up in - I LOVE IT!! And the trailer for the rest of the season - Whoa, Nelly!  NJ's reunion - what the what?! I'm seriously disliking them all, which makes me wonder why I even watch. Luckily, NYC Housewives are coming back this week and I can't wait to see what they have been up to - woo hoo!  I'm also watching The Passage. I loved the books and now I am loving the TV version - so good!! The Walking Dead - yes, I'm watching it again. I can't help it. Each season it gets worse and I plan on giving up, but then something exciting will happen on the show to reel me back in. This time round its the Whisperers - OMG! I am loving Alpha!!  One show that I need to catch up on is The Magicians - how did I forget about it? The last three seasons were amazing! Where have I been? I need to find out what Q and the gang are up to. Oh, and I'm also watching A Million Little Things. I gave up for awhile, but now I'm hooked again.

3.  Music.  Up by REM has been the album on repeat for me. I was going through an old magazine that was all things REM (love this band) and found myself pulling out my collection of REM CDs.  I always enjoyed Up even though the band didn't care for it considering everything they were going through at the time. My favorite songs are At My Most Beautiful and Walk Unafraid. I've been listening to them all week and truly enjoying them even more than I used to. Such a good album.

Hope you are having a great week! Happy reading!!

I liked No Exit. It was a little far-fetched at times, but fast-paced and fun to read! I'm glad you're enjoying your recent books!

I love Tyler Perry. I've not read his books yet but even as funny as those Madea movies are, there is always a message to be found.
