my thoughts:

I'm a huge fan of The Blue Zones Kitchen cookbook by Dan Buettner, so I was thrilled to get my hands on a copy of his latest work, the companion book to The Blue Zones Kitchen titled, The Blue Zones Challenge: A 4-Week Plan for a Longer, Better Life. With a title like that, how could I now want to read the book, right? I mean, who doesn't want a longer and better life? Especially with the way things have been these past couple of years, I think we are all looking for ways to stay healthy. Suffice it to say, I was excited to dive into this terrific new book.

Designed as a model to help jump-start a healthy lifestyle, The Blue Zones Challenge is wonderful resource book chock full of helpful tips and ideas on eating healthier, exercising more, and focusing on your living space and social life. The author uses the Blue Zones (the regions in the world where people are known to live the longest) for advice on ways to help you set up a healthy and stocked kitchen pantry, along with ways to build a stronger support network.  I really enjoyed going slowly through this book and jotting down ideas and tips - figuring out ways to motivate myself to focus on my health in a more productive manner. This book definitely helped remind me how important it is to stay connected and move, move, move! Such a great read!

I would definitely recommend The Blue Zones Challenge to fans of Buettner's book, The Blue Zones Kitchen - you will fall in love with this latest book!
