my thoughts:
I have not watched Virgin River, so I do not know the characters, the storylines, or anything about the show. All I know is that the show is on Netflix and that it is super popular. And, I know that everyone is obsessed with it. However, I'm not one of those people and yet, when provided with the opportunity to read a book by the author of the popular series, I couldn't resist. I figured this would be a great way to introduce me to the series and let me just say...I was right! I am now adding Virgin River to my Netflix queue and I am stoked to binge-watch it. Hurrah! Anyhow, let me get to the book...
Holiday In Virgin River: Romance Stories for the Holidays by Robyn Carr is ace. It is sweet, romantic, and chock full of the holidays - all of which make it the perfect holiday read! Or at least, I think so. I loved this book to bits! It has two stories and they are each delicious and unputdownable!
The first story is all about Annie and Nate, who are THE couple to watch on Virgin River. Annie finds a box of puppies and she's trying to find the local vet to help out. Nate happens to be the old vet's son and is now the local vet. Soon the two are bonding over the puppies and their mutual attraction to one another. Love is blooming this holiday season! In the second story we find Nate's niece, Sunny, at the local bar having been jilted at the altar. Love is not in her cards at the moment, or so she thinks. And that is all I will write about each story - they are just too good to miss out on, you need to read them for yourselves.
Wow! What a fun holiday read! I just loved the idea of this book and then being able to watch the show to see the characters come to life. Talk about a visual read! Definitely check out this book if you are fan of the holiday season or Virgin River - you will fall in LOVE with this book!
