Monday Musings...

I'm almost done with the new Stephen King book, You Like It Darker. It's a book of short stories and I'm digging them. The last one I read now has me jonesing for a re-read of Cujo and a rewatch of the film. I finished Eruption by Michael Crichton and James Patterson in night. It was a fast-paced read that had me enjoying the ride. A definite summer read. I also picked up my Folio Society edition of The Alchemist and decided to give it a read. I remember reading the paperback version over two decades ago and thought it was time to reread the book. I bought the FS edition a while ago and thought it would be nice to actually read it. I tend to buy multiple copies of books and let them sit on my shelves collecting dust. Ugh. This is why I MUST declutter my bookshelves. Yikes!

So, I'm 1.75 books down from my 20 book goal for the 20 Books Of Summer reading change. Not too bad. I know I can read more, I just need to turn off the TV...LOL! Although, I'm making an exception to watch Andrew McCarthy's documentary, Brat, which is all about the 'brat pack' - how fun! It'll be on Hulu on June 13th and I can't wait. I loved the 'brat pack' - who didn't? Should be an interesting film. I just know it's going to inspire me to rewatch a bunch of my favorite 80s films, which is actually perfect for summer.

Anyhow, I'm off to call T-Mobile to discuss my current bill which seems to be riddled with mistakes. So, I'm thinking I should probably allocate 2 hours to the call, since that is how long it took last time. Wish me luck!

Hope you have a lovely week! Happy reading!

  1. I know I commented on this post. Did my comment fall into the spam folder again? Or is it lost in internet limbo somewhere? Always a mystery. :D
