The Valentine's Do-Over by Michelle Lindo-Rice

(Thank you to Harlequin for providing me with a copy of this book!)

about book: (summary from Goodreads)

Sworn off love, they’ll soon discover
As valentines, they’re into each other!

When radio personalities Selena Cartwright and Trent Moon share their Valentine’s Day trauma stories and why they’ve sworn off love, the gala celebrating singlehood is born! Planning the event has Trent and Selena seeing—and wanting—each other more than just professionally. But if they’re found out, it could ruin their reputations and careers. As the gala approaches, can they overcome past heartache and possibly discover that Trent + Selena = True Love 4-Ever?

my thoughts:

A friends to lovers romance that delights and satisfies your romantic sweet tooth. The Valentine's Do-Over by Michelle Lindo-Rice is a treat to read. I enjoyed spending time with Selena and Trent, a therapist and radio personality who find themselves working together on a Valentine's singles gala. Both have sworn off love, so it's definitely a pleasant surprise when the sparks begin to fly between the two. Except, if anyone finds out that Selena and Trent are falling in love, well, it could ruin their reputations and their gala. Yikes! What to do? Will they choose love over professional success? Or will they let their love rule?

Talk about fun and entertaining romance. I would happily recommend The Valentine's Do-Over to fans of love stories - you are going to fall in deep with this one. Make sure to check it out!

One Night Rancher: The Carsons Of Lone Rock #3 by Maisey Yates

(Thank you to Harlequin for providing me with a copy of this book!)

about book: (summary from Goodreads)

When best friends spend the night together, will a forbidden kiss change everything? Find out in the next The Carsons of Lone Rock novel by New York Times bestselling author Maisey Yates.

It started with one simple favor
Now one night together has the promise of more…

No one knows tough-as-nails bar owner Cara Thompson better than her best friend, rancher Jace Carson. And when Cara needs someone to stay with her at Lone Rock’s most historic, and possibly haunted, hotel to purchase it, Jace is the man for the job—even when the only furnished room has just one bed. One night shouldn’t be enough to change years of friendship, but a single kiss melts away years of restraint. As the sun rises, Cara might have secured her hotel, but has she ruined her friendship with Jace forever?

my thoughts:

Love, love, love! One Night Rancher is the third book in the popular The Carsons Of Lone Rock series. Written by Maisey Yates, this latest installment, is SEXY and FUN. It's a best friends to lovers romance that makes for a fast-paced steamy read. I really enjoyed getting to know Cara and Jace - a dynamic duo that is most definitely MADE FOR EACH OTHER. The two have been friends forever. Cara has always had feelings for Jace, but he's kept to himself after a huge loss he experienced. However, Cara needs to spend the night in a haunted hotel in order to purchase it and Jace volunteers to stay with her. He wants to partner up with her on the hotel project and decides that he has to help keep her safe from any ghosts. So, the two spend the night together and wind up sharing much more than they had ever imagined they would. The only problem is what happens next...will their friendship survive romance? Or will they find themselves brokenhearted?

Yates has written a terrific romance that will hook you right from the start. She's created a relatable story that will warm your heart. What a treat! I would happily recommend One Night Rancher to fans of the series and to anyone looking for their next great romantic read. Make sure to check it out!
