SPOTLIGHT on Say My Name: A True Crime Novel by Joe Clifford

(Thank you to the publisher for providing me with a copy of this book!)

Check out Joe Clifford's latest novel, Say My Name: A True Crime Novel - it's metafiction at its very best!

Here's a quick summary:A true crime story about a crime that never happened — or did it?

On the heels of a divorce, a midlist mystery writer returns to his hometown in Central CT and is dragged back into a decades-old, unsolved case involving former missing classmates to expose the horrific secrets of a quaint, idyllic New England town.

Fusing the modern domestic psychological thriller with popular unsolved mysteries (Girl on the Train  meets  In Cold Blood),  this meta blend of true crime and fiction plays with expectations and perspective before its mind-blowing conclusion.

Wow! What a thrilling story! I absolutely LOVED it. Such a great read - it's unputdownable and unforgettable! Loved it! The writing is top notch and the characters are the kind you hate, but can't help but befriend. And, the story is gripping - it won't let you go for anything. This is definitely a must-read for anyone and everyone. Make sure to check it out!!

SPOTLIGHT on The Truth Against The World: A Novel by David Corbett

(Thank you to the publisher for providing me with a copy of this book!)

Out now is this awesome new book, The Truth Against The World, by bestselling author, David Corbett.

Here's a quick summary:

A country descending into brutal civil war…

A young artist forced to cross a nation in chaos to retrieve her stolen masterpiece…

Her guide and guardian, who may not be exactly who he seems…

In the near future, as America breaks apart into factional violence, a young artist named Georgina O’Halloran creates an illustrated book of old Celtic tales in the style of the famous Book of Durrow. Titled The Truth Against the World, it’s intended as a gift for her professor—who is also her lover.

But the older man cruelly breaks things off, Georgie falls into a depressive tailspin, and the book becomes an international sensation—under the professor’s name.

Emerging from her troubles, Georgie dedicates herself to finding the plagiarist and confronting him—a task that will oblige a cross-country journey amid rising violence.

She turns to her friend Shane for help. He’s a charming eccentric—“Irish as wet grass,” a whip-smart ex-soldier with a curiously encyclopedic memory, a beautiful singing voice, and a dark wit. But he’s also a fiercely loyal friend.

Shane’s intelligence and finely honed fighting skills will prove crucial as the dangers mount, allies abandon them, enemies multiply—and the real forces behind the plagiarized book’s worldwide success reveal themselves.

Georgie will also learn—in a moment of shattering revelation—that Shane is not just more than he seems, but something more than even she could imagine.

How great does that sound? I know that I can't wait read this story. I plan on settling down with a huge cuppa and diving right on in to this thrilling story. Make sure to check it out!
