my thoughts:
What a fun story! I just loved The Tiltersmith by Amy Herrick. It was chock full of magic and adventure - the kind where you have to step up and be a hero or the world as we know it will end. Talk about the perfect spring break read!
In Brooklyn, New York the season of spring has finally arrived. However, winter seems to have forgotten and continues to cover the city with snow and sleet. Four middle-schoolers named Feenix, Brigit, Danton, and Edward believe they know the cause of the relentless winter weather and its not climate change, despite what their science teacher will have you believe. Nope, they believe it's all down to magic. And their suspicions are proved correct with the arrival of a new nemesis - Superintendent Tiltersmith. Yep, he's got his eyes on the foursome and it's not looking good for any of them. As they dig deeper trying to figure out who Superintendent Tiltersmith really is and what has happened to spring, the foursome soon find themselves entangled in a magical battle that will test them like never before.
Wow! Herrick has created a fantastical story that will entertain and engage you all the way through. You won't be able to put this book down for anything. It's just so much to read and get lost in. I absolutely enjoyed every minute I spent with these characters and their magical adventures. What a fun treat!
I would happily recommend The Tiltersmith by Amy Herrick to fans of her work and to anyone looking for their next great read - you won't want to miss out this dazzling adventure story! Check it out!
