I'm turning My Friday Five into a gratitude post. I'll be listing five things I'm grateful for from the week. I really want to focus on mindfulness this year - being present and taking notice of all the things in my life - big and small. So, here goes...
1. My mom. She's truly my best friend.
2. Chilly temperatures. I am loving 48 degree weather in the mornings. Makes winter feel like winter here in South FL. Plus, I get to wear my sweaters and coats. It's the best!
3. Reading. I'm finally reading a book in the new year and it feels great. I've missed my favorite hobby, so to be back at it is pure bliss.
4. Journaling. I bought a small daily planner for morning journaling, because I wanted to start out my day journaling. I was worried the small size would limit my writing, but I'm actually loving the size and find that I'm writing and writing without a problem.
5. Chocolate croissant. I wanted a treat and bought a box of chocolate croissants from the BJ's bakery. They were delicious!!
