TBR Tuesday...

Currently at the top of my TBR list on my Kindle. I'm excited to read it. I love Edwards' books - they always manage to have a surprising twist.

Hopefully Tuesday's been good to you. Happy reading!

My Friday Five...

1. Therapy. I'm glad that I started going again, because it really does help. And, right now, I really need it.

2. Books. Reading is something I've loved since I was a kid, so to be craving books again is the best feeling.

3. Gingerbread cookies are my jam right now. I am LOVING the Little Debbie Valentine's ones.

4. Cooler temperatures. Waking up to 50 degree weather is the BEST. Makes me feel like we are actually having winter here in South FL and I LOVING it!

5. Journals. I am scribbling like mad in my books and really enjoying it. I'm using new journals and old ones that I never finished. I feel like I'm in a journaling groove. And, I'm keeping it simple - just pen and paper. Occasionally I'll add a sticker, but it's mainly my writing going into these books and that is making me so happy.

Wishing you all a lovely weekend. Happy reading!

My Friday Five

I'm turning My Friday Five into a gratitude post. I'll be listing five things I'm grateful for from the week. I really want to focus on mindfulness this year - being present and taking notice of all the things in my life - big and small. So, here goes...

1. My mom. She's truly my best friend.

2. Chilly temperatures. I am loving 48 degree weather in the mornings. Makes winter feel like winter here in South FL. Plus, I get to wear my sweaters and coats. It's the best!

3. Reading. I'm finally reading a book in the new year and it feels great. I've missed my favorite hobby, so to be back at it is pure bliss.

4. Journaling. I bought a small daily planner for morning journaling, because I wanted to start out my day journaling. I was worried the small size would limit my writing, but I'm actually loving the size and find that I'm writing and writing without a problem.

5. Chocolate croissant. I wanted a treat and bought a box of chocolate croissants from the BJ's bakery. They were delicious!!

And now, I'm off to start my day. Wishing you a terrific Friday!

20 Books Of Summer...

My dear friend, Meredith, posted about 20 Books Of Summer over on her blog, Dolce Bellezza and just reading about it, I knew I had to join in. So, I headed over to Cathy's blog, 746 Books, to read all about it - she's the creator of 20 Books Of Summer reading challenge.  Basically, pick 20, 15, or 10 books you already own that you want to read over the summer (June 1st - September 1st) and start reading.

Here's my tentative list (I'm not going to lie, I might change it around at some point, because I am a mood reader):

What do you think? Not a bad list, eh? I've had som of those on my TBR for ages, so I figured it was about time to dive in. Let me know if you've read any of these and what you thought of them. Also, let me know if you are going to join in on 20 Books Of Summer.

Wishing you a great rest of the week! Happy reading!

My Bookish Christmas Wish List...

Christmas is nigh, which means its time to make lists. I've already made a few and crossed some names off of them.  Now its time to make a list of my own.  Of course, mine is filled with books, but I can't help it. I'm  a bookworm at heart and all I want for Christmas are books.  Here are some of the titles I have on my Christmas Wish List:

My Christmas Wish List...

All I want for Christmas are books, books, and books.  I can't help it. I keep finding new-to-me books that I just have to have. I think part of it has to do with the fact that  I'm currently involved with a hefty tome titled, A True Novel by Minae Mizumura, and it is...brilliant. I am so in love with the writing, the story, the characters, the reference to EB and her book Wuthering Heights, Japan, and pretty much everything about this book.  It is seriously that good.  So, of course, now I want to read books that are as good as the one I'm currently reading. Which means, I need books.  So, here's my Christmas Wish List:

Not a bad list, eh? I think its a good mix of different types of books. My taste is rather eclectic, so I think that I'd enjoy pretty much anything off of this list.  I'm just hoping that I get one or two - my fingers are crossed. What about you? What books are you hoping to receive this holiday season?  Anything you think I should add to my list, let me know.

And now, I think I'll head back into A True Novel.  I still have nearly three hundred pages left to read, so I better get cracking. Happy reading!!

My R.I.P. XI TBR List...

R.I.P. XI has begun and I've picked several books that I would like to read.  I won't get to them all, but I wanted to share which titles piqued my interest this year.  Here goes:

What do you think? Not a bad bunch to choose from, right? I'm thinking of dipping in and out of King's book, The Bazaar of Bad Dreams, throughout R.I.P. XI.  And, I'm hoping to finally get to the Gaiman book.  Have you read any of these titles?  Which would you recommend (or not)?  I think I'm going to start with this one:

Hope you are having a great weekend!! Happy reading!!
